BILL OF SALE

Whereas, by Articles of Agreement dated December 17, 1857, between Phineas T. Barnum (Seller) of one historical artifact described below and Jackson P. Middleton (Purchaser). The Seller hereby agrees to transfer ownership and relinquish all claims to the artifact for the sum price of five hundred twenty five dollars ($525.00).

Artifact is one necklace of white Cowrie shell beads and a single centered white sand dollar circlet with black ink pictorial designs. Necklace is strung on high quality dried and braided reed fibers. Origin is believed to be West African, but this cannot be confirmed and condition of the sale has no dependency on the item’s true origin.

Agreement and re-assignment of ownership is confirmed by the signatures below:
